God, I hate smoking, but I love characters that smoke in fiction. Wierd.
This is in watercolors? That's amazing. How do your colors not bleed into one another like mine? Do you have some special Painter's Gene that I'm not aware of? I try to paint and it looks like a fuckin' mess, this looks stupendous. I like the smoke trail, blown through clenched teeth.
I'm intrigued by your style and wish to subscribe to your newsletter.
Never saw it, nor heard of it for that matter XD, looks like it's a good anime.I like how you made the coloring all soft.

I do commissions pretty dirt cheap.Help a fellow artist out in these tough times! Dr. Venture: Why is it every time I need to get somewhere, we get waylaid by jackassery?
I'm actually quite rusty with traditional medium LOL, it's good practice and a nice break away from digital painting. Truth be told I had a pallete sitting around for weeks that had bits of watercolour and gouache paint left over, I can't remember which colour's the watercolour or gouache anymore.
I'm a very impatient person when it comes to watercolour so most of the time I paint when the paper's still wet [big no-no heheh], sometimes when I'm waiting for a part to dry I paint another seperate part. It helps to try to get everything with one brush stroke, otherwise use a moderate amount of water around the ends that need blending. Mixing colours tends to be a risky thing with watercolour style cause you never know what you're going to get after it dries on the paper. Working light to dark, avoiding the areas that need to be white also help keep me from reaching for that tube of Platium White acryllic.
Ahhh. See, when I made my own attempts, I would paint much like I draw - lots of little, tiny strokes. I guess that's why it started to bleed and blend as much as it did. I probably used more of my white acryllic paint than anything, to try and cover up my mistakes.
