UPDATE:

Livestreaming in a couple hours today at 3:30pm EST - livestream.com/axl99

Feel free to stop by and hang around :D.

Wow uhmm, been a while since the last journal update. At least it sorta feels like it.

I hope all of you are doing alright where you are. School's effectively kept me from going online to chat with people, so I can't help but feel like I missed out on a large part of my friends' lives, ;A;.

Yes, I missed you guys terribly.

Just one more day of school to finish off one little project and then I'm home free to finish Mass Effect over the holidays.

And maybe do a livestream sometime over the weekend.

I'll keep you guys posted on that, I missed being able to paint.

----

So I take it you guys have seen some of the 3D renders I just uploaded. At least it's a freaking world of difference compared to the utterly atrocious Maya model I did back in college for a rigging class in animation:

The following images you guys see below is 4 months of nothing but learning modelling in 3D max.

FOUR. MONTHS. Or three-and-a-half if you really want to get technical.

Back then my major mostly concentrated on traditional animation and never really went all too deep with computer animation, or Flash for that matter. Sculpting or 3D modelling was never my strong suit at the time, right now if it weren't for how hard we or our teachers were pushing ourselves I'd have never imagined getting this far at all.

To them I owe a great debt of gratitude.

It's been a grueling 3-4 months, but it was definitely worth it. I'm really motivated to learn more about modelling so I can have an easier time translating concept art into a finished product.

---

That aside, I need to catch up on movies. I definitely plan on seeing Sherlock Holmes, but I can't help but wonder if there was anything else worth watching. We'll see :D.

Those models look AMAZING. I can't believe you were able to learn so much in just a short period of time. Man, I need me something like that, ha ha, but I'll be spending all of my time doing research in a lab from now on.
